John Wright Electrical is proud to announce that we’ve received a Gold certificate for our fleet’s fuel efficiency! This is a great achievement for our business, considering the environmental issues our planet now faces.
Climate change is a readily acknowledged threat to our planet and companies like ourselves have a key role in addressing the issue. As a business providing electrical and mechanical services to clients up and down the country, we understand the effect of our carbon footprint.
John Wright Electrical engineers help with anything from general power to CCTV and home security installation. Our mechanical engineers are accredited to carry out Gas Safety Certificates and boiler services. Holme Energy Services, a division of John Wright, specialise in the installation of renewable technologies to both residential and commercial spaces. On projects big or small we are always working to improve our carbon footprint, so we were keen to work with Masternaut.
As a subsidiary of the Michelin Group, Masternaut specialise in providing van telematics to companies with commercial fleets. Telematics transmit data, such as location and speed, from a vehicle to a mobile asset – so businesses can track and manage fleet operations more effectively. Masternaut’s telematics can help optimise fleet tracking, refine jobs workflow management and improve driver safety. By using telematics, we can benefit from our team improving driver safety, improving call-out time and going greener.
The telematics have now been fitted over a year, and within the last twelve months, we have reduced our CO2e emissions by 473 kg – which is a result we’re very pleased with! The telematics have managed to save us fuel and time by giving our drivers more direct routes from job to job.
By receiving our Gold Certificate from Masternaut, it’s helped show our commitment to reducing our CO2 emissions to our clients and colleagues.
